Bound by hand in soft leather, the notebook has a lay-flat binding and is embossed with the Ian Fleming signature hummingbird in gold on its cover. Custom endpapers, coordinating elastic closure and a ribbon page marker complete the design.

The makers. Established in the 1950s, the Stamford Notebook Company is based in the Georgian town of Stamford, England and has a fine collection of traditional bookbinding equipment along with more up-to-date production machinery. All notebooks are hand bound, in the workshop in Stamford, by true craftsmen using centuries old techniques and some modern equipment – carrying out all aspects of production including the printing of paper, folding, sewing, trimming. case making and casing in. The company’s aims have always been to bind the best notebooks and journals for writing and drawing, using the best handwriting paper, leathers and bookbinding cloths available, using British made, sustainable materials wherever possible.
