Backstory. To infiltrate Blofeld's lair high in the Swiss Alps, 007 assumes the identity of Sir Hilary Bray from the College of Arms in London. Acting as Sir Hilary, his task is to help establish Blofeld's claims to the noble title of Count Balthazar de Bleuchamp. But, in reality, Bond is there to uncover – and ultimately foil – Blofeld’s plans for global chaos and destruction. What follows is one of Bond’s most iconic, emotive adventures. And we’re thrilled to celebrate it through the medium of sustainably made, meticulously finished socks.
Facts. The heraldic crests are recreated in miniature, using cutting-edge, hyper-detailed techniques and over a dozen unique colours for each embroidered crest. The socks themselves have been made from specially sourced, organic combed cotton yarns, knitted and ribbed using 200 needles for next-level comfort and durability.
The Bond Crest Sock. We’re first introduced to the Bond family crest by Sir Hilary Bray at the College of Arms in London in Fleming's On Her Majesty’s Secret Service while he and 007 discuss the details of Bond’s mission to Switzerland. “
The De Bleuchamp / Blofeld Crest Sock. Proud eagles flanking a crown adorned with nine pearls to signify counthood; a warrior’s helmet; the precipitous, snow-capped peak of a mountain. The features of the de Bleuchamp / Blofeld coat of arms simmer with a rare heraldic ferocity. And nowhere is that spirit more evident than in the growling boar sitting at the crest’s heart: a timeless, visceral symbol of persistence, intrepidness and cunning – much like the aspiring Count himself.
Made from 69% cotton, 30% nylon, 1% elastane. The sock is principally constructed out of cotton; the finer nylon fibre is used for the detailed motifs and elastane is used in the ankle band to make sure it stays up on the calf.
Fit. 7-12 (UK) / 41-47 (EU)
